I alwasy sucked at em as a kid but was gunna give it a go but I haven't had to use z and x since the first duke nukems and such.... tooo much nostalgia. For a rather unknown game, this game is pretty well designed. The bosses are fairly original, the difficult is tremendously high. I can already say this game isn't meant for the faint of heart because this game is just... well... it's difficult.Furthermore, my experience playing this game isn't very close to everything else I have played in my entire life (except for super mario bros, but that game's combat isn't anywere near this game's combat and Dead Cells). I recommend this game and give it a 7,1/10.. A loving tribute to how irritating the original Ghosts n Goblins was. Every good Ouya game ends up on Steam.. They spend 33 years not improving the game in any substantial or meaningful way. It's still not popular.If you want a retro Ghosts'n'goblins experience, play it on an arcade emulator in a web browser for free. Abylight want $12 for 33 year old copyright infringement.. Tried but can't get past the controls, they're just plain not fun. Bad old school feeling for me personally. Graphics, sounds and pretty much everything else great so it's a shame.. Of all the games on Steam right now. This one deserves a sequel most urgently. In case you guys are working on one make sure to add more spooky graveyard levels and some really badd♥♥♥♥♥weapons and armor sets :))If anyone affiliated with Capcom is reading this please ask them to relase their Ghouls N Ghosts/ Maximo Series on Pc.. No, unless you're really struggling for some SNES nostalgia...there are better 8 bit hack and jump adventures out there. Get a new weapon? Yay, can't switch back? The axes are terrible. Just one of many small things I didn't enjoy in my admittedly very short playtime. Soundtrack is nice though...Edit: Got this as part of Humble Bundle. Not my kind of game, don't be put off, if a 20 year old retro game is exactly what you're looking for. There are no modern features here.. A nice and short old school sidescrolling action game, with a great learning curve appealing to varyingly skilled players: it might seem hard at first but thanks to checkpoints at every screen you'll be soon speedrunning it.+ Retro feeling but tight controls+ Enjoyable learning curve+ Good pixel art+ A lot of graphical settings and 21:9 support- Non replayable levels make content skippable- A lot of powerups feel like power-downs :/- 4:3 layout but with black bars fillers4/5. Runs slow, no option to fix up the speed. Controls jerky as hell. Its hard to imagine a game with such potential to be rtetro chic messed up so badly. Do not recommend.
